Foil highlighting is the process of using foil to separate strands of hair which will be lightened from strands of hair which will remain its natural colour. Classic hair foils can be weaved or sliced, depending on what you want your new look to be.

The process is done by applying lightener to the hair that has been woven and separated using an applicator brush. The foil is then folded to protect the hair and surrounding area during the “processing” time, before being wrapped up in foil.

Make sure you shampoo your hair for at least 24 hours after the foil highlighting, as this will give the hair colour more time to be fully absorbed into each strand. When it is time to wash, it is important to use luke-warm water and follow up with a deep conditioning mask for 15 minutes.
Always use products that will extend the look of your hair by using specific shampoo and conditioners designed for coloured hair. This will help restore any moisture loss that happens during the Hair Foiling treatment.
The best way to keep a long-lasting highlight is to cut down on heat-related styling tools. Items such as blow dryers, curling irons, and flat irons not only damage your hair, but they also fade your hair foils. Be sure to use heat protectant spray when using these items.
